Core Technique: Photoreal CG Lighting Match & Live-Action Plate Compositing

01 / Lighting Match

The chair's CG render was lit using an HDRI captured on-set, matching key light direction and color temperature so the CG asset sits believably inside the live-action plate.

02 / Shadow & Contact Compositing

Contact shadows and subtle ambient occlusion were composited by hand at the base of the product to remove any floating, artificial look.

01 / Camera Match-Move

The on-site camera move was tracked and rebuilt in 3D space so future-state structural elements could be composited into the plate at accurate scale and perspective.

02 / Beauty-Level Integration

CG structural additions were graded and grain-matched to the live footage so the finished elements read as photographic rather than rendered.

Core Technique: Set Extension Compositing & Multi-Pass Render Blending

01 / Set Extension

Building elements not yet complete on-site were extended digitally using multi-pass CG renders, blended into the plate at the correct horizon line and perspective.

02 / Render Pass Blending

Diffuse, specular, and ambient occlusion passes were blended independently in compositing to keep the CG addition responsive to the same lighting conditions as the live plate.
